Karen Unis Purcell

There are some couples that take our breath away, and this amazing couple is certainly one! We are honored to have Karen Unis Purcell as a Berta bride on her special day. Karen married Anthony Purcell, founder of “Walking with Anthony” a spinal cord injury recovery foundation. This life changing organization “educates and raises awareness about the challenges imposed by SCI and the need to increase the quality of life for all who suffer from it.” Anthony never even knew what SCI was until he was diagnosed with it. He had to re-learn all movements and recover from such a tragic accident. Karen and Anthony’s love story is simply one to behold. Their love for one another is clearly seen through their photos and their wedding looked like a dream with lots of family and friends.

Karen wore one of our classic Berta gowns, style 16-102, which fit her perfectly. She looked flawless and effortless in this fully laced mermaid style gown with a plunging neckline and open back. The touch of pearls and crystals were the perfect amount of glam to her look.

We are touched by this stunning couple and wish them many more year of love and happiness!

“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever.” — The Notebook

Shirin

We love a unique Berta bride and Shirin is just that! Our Berta bride spotlight of the week is Shirin who wore an Evening Berta style 18-56. A beautiful blush ball gown with a plunging neckline and gathered waist. With a mix of shimmer fabric under the light color tulle Shirin really shined in the light and proved to us how special of a Berta bride she is!

On how she knew this dress was the one! Via wedding blog, Smashing the glass:

“Berta‘s styles attracted me from the beginning of my search for the perfect wedding dress. It became clear that it was the place where I’d find my gown, and as it turned out the second wedding dress I tried at Berta turned out to be the one. I felt that the dress was made especially for me, and it made me feel like a real princess. The color of the dress was cream – vintage pink, and each movement of mine made it glow, shine, and sparkle. It was also crucial for me to wear a dress that would be comfortable to dance in throughout the wedding.”

We wish this stunning couple many years of love and happiness! From the looks through their photos we can tell what a loving and happy couple they truly are!

Sydney

Elegance in every way, an evening with an abundance of garden sophistication describes the beautiful wedding of Brandon and Sydney. A green and white Temecula wedding is one worth mentioning and this gorgeous Berta bride, Sydney, is our spotlight of the week! We loved the simplicity and elegance of their special day. Everything from the lush white florals, spruce green trees, and the pop of blush from the bridesmaid dresses created the perfect palette.

Sydney chose a traditional and classy Berta style 15-110. Handcrafted lace with a fitted bodice and breath-taking mermaid skirt, this dress is certainly a head turner. The lace is exquisitely detailed and the fit is beyond perfection on this Berta bride!

A little insight from BERTA bride Sydney via EVERY LAST DETAIL WEDDING BLOG

What were your favorite parts of the day?

One of my favorite parts was the first look earlier in the day. It made me feel so happy and comforted to see Brandon before the ceremony and have our special time together away from everyone else. My other favorite part was when we surprised all the guests with glow wands and music activated glow bracelets once the party got going during the song “Light it up” by Major Lazer.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Everyone from my parents to Brandon’s parents, my bridesmaids, and my sister were so helpful in making sure the day went smoothly and that I was happy!

Please describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details.

We did a tribute to those celebrating from heaven or home and included an armoire with pictures of family members (and pets!) who couldn’t be there in person. We also had bins of sandals and shawls for people to be more comfortable during the party!

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

The most important thing to both of us was making sure we and our guests had the night of a lifetime. I wanted to make sure people could feel the love through the romantic vibe of the candles and flowers, the music, and dancing. We definitely splurged on top shelf open bar and decor and we went with a Gelato bar instead of the traditional expensive cake. We also had a late night snack bar around 11 pm!

Grete Sadeiko

“First name Grete, Last name Griffin. All I ever wanted to be for you is your hero. It turns out that all along, you were mine.” #ItsGriffinTime – Robert Griffin III

The wedding that left sparkles in our eyes! NFL Quarterback and star Robert Griffin III married the stunning Grete Sadeiko in a dreamland wedding. We are thrilled to have Grete as a Berta bride! She wore a beautiful Berta dress and looked beyond stunning on her big day! Both shared photos on Instagram including a breathtaking photo in a crystal room with purple lights and white roses to match their theme of the night.

Grete wore style 17-139, a form fitting, mermaid style, embellished white lace dress with a plunging neckline and hints of sparkle all over. It is a true show stopper! She paired this fabulous dress with a full tulle overskirt that made her look like a real live princess. Her beautiful blonde waves and classy makeup topped her look perfectly!

The couple danced to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” on a smoke-covered dance floor. From what we can see, this wedding was truly perfection in every way!

Lexi Miles

We love a good love story, and this one might be one of our favorites! A match made in heaven, Lexi Miles, the founder and CEO of Waxon Waxbar, met her future brother-in-law, Matthew Corrin, the CEO of Freshii, and his wife, Kate, at a charity event in November 2015. After talking and getting to know each other Matthew knew there would be a love connection with his younger brother, Adam, Freshii’s COO. When Adam and Lexi finally met they found out they have a lot more in common than they think. After their first date, the rest of their story unfolds.
Lexi chose a beautiful Muse by Berta style that is truly a classic yet sexy silhouette. In fact, it was the second dress she tried on at White Toronto. The style is called the AMADIS and it’s a sleek, form fitting dress with a V plunging neckline and soft light layers of tulle for the skirt portion. The lace placements add a touch of a feminine look and the style fit her so perfectly. It was clearly the dress for her!
We wish this stunning couple many more beautiful memories and a lifetime of happiness! Lexi was a flawless MUSE bride!
